For over four decades, the Upstate Freshwater Institute has been a leader in freshwater science in New York. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit research institute, we are dedicated to improving water quality, advancing our understanding of lakes through innovative monitoring techniques, contributing to the sustainability of aquatic ecosystems, and providing community outreach and education to K-12 school teachers and students throughout Central New York.
